Reviews and pictures of actress Marina Daunia naked in "Le evase - Storie di sesso e di violenze" and "Casa privata per le SS".
Raven-haired temptress of the dingier reaches of the 'seventies Italian exploitation scene, she did not get the career she deserved.

Incredible Nazploitation from one of the most notorious hacks of the Italian 'video nasty' era Bruno Mattei, featuring much the same troupe of actors who went on to star in his masterpiece KZ9 - Lager di sterminio.
There's something about Mattei's films that make them lovable even though they are so dreary, chaotic, and full of vileness they clearly belong in the gutter. Maybe it's because he knows how to tell a story, and how to direct his cast to really flesh out their characters. Or maybe he just had an uncanny knack of using standard gothic props to infuse his work with a kind of poetic nihilism, something that the best scenes of this pair of films give off like an aura.
The SS is tasked with setting up a brothel where would-be Nazi traitors are to pillow-talk their way to exposure and execution. In charge is ambitious young officer Gabriele Carrara, an absolute maniac who appears to be auditioning for the title role of Caligula; he certainly has the haircut.
His loyal deputy is Frau Inge (named after a Rottweiler) played of course by Marina. She is a stoic beauty who hides the blemish on her cheek by bunching up her raven hair. You just know she's had the mark since childhood poor girl. Probably a duelling scar.
Marina's problem is that she is passionately and inexplicably in love with her commanding officer, whose problem in turn is that he is a sadistic latent homosexual with absolutely no idea what to do with a naked woman apart from slap her to the floor and run away. The results are seen in the first clip. Marina reveals a splendidly seductive figure as she shrugs off her black negligee. It's the only truly erotic image in the film to be honest.
The second clip has Marina seducing her fellow female officer Macha Magall while Caligula watches - that sorry clichéd first refuge of the sexually inadequate male. The darkness is relieved only by a lightning storm, perhaps so he has an excuse for looking scared and gnawing on a leather thong.
By way of light relief the third clip is set during an orgy where Marina is having her naked body roundly whipped. And my goodness isn't she enjoying herself! Her assailant is none other than the famous Kurt from KZ9. And my goodness isn't he enjoying himself too! Caligula meanwhile is busy with other duties (auditioning for the part of Dr. Phibes), delegating his role of self-destructive hag-ridden psychotic to a junior officer.
Finally Marina has her big death scene in Caligula's den, stripping naked again of course. Actually the scene is a disappointment but we're not going to miss it after coming such a long way. And having made no progress at all by the looks of things.

Back in 'seventies Italy the country house tennis team siege will soon reach its violent conclusion, but meanwhile a few beers have been shared in the dayroom - for want of a better word what I call the place the hostages are kept. Marina glides in pausing only to pat nervously at her hair (because even hardened lesbian convicts have their insecurities). Now is the perfect time for she and sweet young Dirce Funari to retire sleepily to the bedroom, lost amongst the confusion of people being led away to vomit.
These two have some history between them, but Marina proves she can be surprisingly gentle once she has the object of her desires alone and compliant. Makes all that fumbling on the sofa look a bit silly now doesn't it? And needless to say that wrestling bout on the hearthrug she's done her best to forget. But do bear in mind absolute mayhem reigns in the house while all this breast-stroking, pants-loosening, and butterfly-kissing is going on.
The normal reaction of two naked women woken by screams and gunfire is to dash about in a tizzy putting on each other's clothes back to front. No doubt it's to avoid such confusion that Marina punches Dirce unromantically in the face before grabbing her dress and legging it. Tragically she collapses in a naked heap on the floor before she even reaches the end of the corridor, gunned down by a treacherous former comrade. But then it was always going to be one of these girls or the other (cf. Lucy Mafra in Reformatório das Depravadas).
