Your wedding day is traditionally the longest day of your life, so you're probably going to want to round it off by crashing out on the sofa then maybe dragging yourself up to the bedroom and going to sleep in your trousers. Young Brazilian bride Novani has the right idea, but when her new husband is propelled through the front door after her at gunpoint she suddenly realises she's in the middle of a rape gang nightmare!

Members of these gangs are notorious for being not right in the head and always insist on dragging out even the preliminaries to insufferable length. Nevertheless, helped along by some unsubtle editing by myself, Novani is eventually stripped down to nothing but her bridal underpants. The weirdo in charge then eases her onto the sofa and tantalises her naked body with the single white rose indispensable to such happy occasions. Though really we shouldn't be facetious about such things; they can cause terrible mental scarring (of the kind essential to the second and third acts).

In this misadventure from Brazil's worst run institution for young female recidivists the inmates play the time-honoured game of Taunt the Simpleton. Jericho the caretaker is the male victim, while it is Novani's turn to be pulled out of the line as 'bait'. Alas the hapless handyman's jellified fingers cannot even prise open the girl's shorts before he lapses into unconsciousness! These shameful antics (I was disappointed to see Patrícia Scalvi among the ringleaders) seem to be a dry run for opening a brothel. But that's not necessarily why the girls are all dressed as street prostitutes; this being Brazil it's probably the official school uniform.

Starring vehicle for a determinedly shy Nicole Puzzi who is singled out from her holidaying girl chums when she picks up a white rose left behind by a stout lady leading a White Voodoo ceremony on the beach. It's possibly an intriguing plot, or maybe just a daft one. Whichever, the more original type of script is just going to gather dust on the shelves unless it includes scenes like this one.

Novani leaves Nicole behind to sulk while she and three friends find a quiet cove to exercise and sunbathe. Our girl is not just the first to start peeling off her bikini, she's the first to get herself completely naked as well. Whether this is something to be proud of is a matter of opinion; her mother would probably have an opinion on it for example.

Suddenly Novani is challenged in her role of ringleader and (questionably) leading bad influence: another girl has spotted a camera sitting on the rocks! So why not use the camera to take nude photographs of each other?! Whoever thought of the idea of simply leaving your camera around so nude girls take their own pictures of each other (all you have to do is have the film developed) is either a genius or an avid scourer of Viz magazine's Top Tips columns.
