A popular second division 'seventies Italian genre star whose greatest talent was for comedy.
Eufemia "Femi" Benussi (born 4 March 1945), is an Italian film actress. She appeared in 82 films between 1965 and 1983. She was born in Rovigno, Italy (now Rovinj, Croatia). She debuted on stage at the Teatro del Popolo of Fiume, then she moved in Rome and made her film debut at 19 in Il boia scarlatto, with the pseudonym Femy Martin. Benussi was mainly active in genre films, and in the seventies she became a star of the commedia sexy all'italiana sub-genre. snippet from Wikipedia

Typical Italian comedy set in the Rome of the Emperor Nero. Our scheming rascal hero is faced with a dilemma when the Empress invites him to share her bath of asses' milk. I mean, we all have our bath nights, but his isn't till Friday week! And while Femi has undoubted charms, the word among the handmaidens is she's dotty, and an inveterate splasher with it.
Dilemma it may be, but realistically only the most determined soap-dodger is going to choose not to accept this invitation. And yes the lady does splash, but only in soft focus, to nice music, and in slow motion too.

A boorish pork butcher has alienated his shy schoolgirl bride (Agostina Belli) on their wedding night, sending her fleeing back to her friends in the city. As a stop-gap measure he has recruited Femi from down on the farm. Why look for a mistress down on a farm? Perhaps because the last time he saw a creature doing the things he wants Femi to do it was down on a farm. (Or was it the zoo?)
The butcher play-acts the part of a bull with his trousers down, and Femi is a blushing bride covered by nothing but a veil. Accompanied by the film's striking main theme (the only point where it is not jarringly inappropriate) it all looks huge fun, and can't make anyone pregnant, so why is that lady in the dressing gown so upset?
She's the absent bride's mother (Françoise Prévost) so has a right to be upset at this cruel mockery of her daughter's marital woes - and in her own house as well! I'm surprised she didn't barge in and sort the pair out right there and then. Françoise has the personal as well as moral authority to do it. I remember her in Cries and Shadows clamping down with a mother's iron fist on Peter's escapade with the champagne bottle: 'What a way to behave, are you crazy?!'

More from this lesser piece of Italian Decamerotica. Femi is a disgruntled serving wench who swaps roles (and clothes) with the mistress of the house in an arrangement that suits both parties. Given that this involves her lying face down on the floor of a cowshed having her slip hitched up by some random old lecher I don't understand how this could possibly be. Even I could offer her a better Friday night than that. How could any woman be so desperate and - more to the point - unparticular? She even ropes three pretty young friends into the lark. Still, a nice time should be had by all you voyeurs and bum fetishists watching at home.

An example of the shortlived Italian genre of decamerotica that drew on the bawdy works of classic mediaeval writers such as Boccaccio and Chaucer. With great literature for inspiration, notable beauties in the cast, a lavish wardrobe department, mandolins on the soundtrack etc., the cynical cinéaste is somehow not really surprised when the result falls as flat as this one.
Femi undresses several times in these highlights, to no very great effect. What's going on storywise? I don't know to be honest, but it seems in the last scene some wife-swapping / bed-hopping shenanigans is foiled due to a chance handful of the wrong shade of pubic hair.

Femi plays a maths teacher in this pretentious Franco-Italian piece of semi-pornographic toss. Sounds too good to be true? We actually see her divide two quadratic equations on the blackboard - a ferociously difficult 'sum'. But this intellectualism is really just an excuse to get her to wear glasses now and again. Oh, and to have her tormented by unrequited lust for her young pupil, a curly fair-haired lad who looks bored all the time (imagine David Gower at his most cherubic sitting through a Boycott innings (Does this mean Femi likes cricket too? Hmm, I could get along with this woman)).
It's Femi's day off and she's invited a colleague round for the afternoon (Malisa Longo). Lounging naked on the lawn this fellow-teacher gabbles something in French that I didn't quite catch but which sounded rather rude. What to say in reply? I'm reminded of Father Jack and his 'That would be an ecumenical matter'; just one phrase covers most situations with this class of girl: 'For goodness sake come inside and put some clothes on!'. Not entirely appropriate on every occasion, but at least it buys you time to interest her in something from the book you're reading before she forgets herself and starts masturbating in public again.
So what happens next? Well it's a porn film isn't it, and anyway you can see from the caps. But will it be what Femi needs to drag her out of her permanent state of listlessness and ennui?

From a collection of seven short sexy-comic stories set in Rome and directed by Luigi 'il maestro' Russo. A somewhat eccentric and diffident fellow is invited to dinner by the newsvendor who sells him saucy magazines under plain cover. His wife Femi in true Italian style puts on a magnificent spread. She's just having salad, which is easier on the housekeeping I grant, but still an indefinably irritating thing to do (especially when your table manners are as lacking as Femi's).
It's the after-dinner entertainment we're here for. Femi is delighted to put on an extraordinary dance, in a minidress and no bra. She's like one of those Stepford wives whose programming went wrong. It's a brilliant piece of comedy which words and still pictures can never be adequate to describe.

Typical Italian comedy about a busty young convent girl (Sofia Dionisio) returning to her family's country estate where (if all goes to plan) she will presumably have some sort of emotionally scarring sexual awakening away from the reproving gaze of the nuns. Femi plays a dotty auntie who spends all her time doing everything in her power to get herself spied upon, molested, and maybe even outright raped by the fat schoolboys and geriatric yokels who are her only male associates down on the farm.
Her first misadventure sees Femi taking a bath in a wooden tub in an ancient stone barn. She loses no time in stripping and soaping herself up while the farmhands literally fall over themselves to get a peep. Nice, but I wish she'd been more practical and 'doubled up' with one of the sheepdogs.
Later Femi treats a couple of peasants to a classic burlesque in a dusky 'birdwoman' type costume. She certainly knows how to put the 'tease' in striptease: a cheeky glimpse of bummy is jealously snatched away, only for even cheekier fanny hairs to be allowed to creep above the line of her briefs. Needless to say it all ends painfully for the over-eager locals - well it is a 'comedy' after all.

Very typical Italian comedy in which a humble window cleaner, through a series of misunderstandings, becomes a masseur at a ladies' salon, Femi being one of its exclusive clientele. She having a reputation as a bit of a 'handful' it's always a plus to have her face down before you have the more complicated sort of dealings with her, so our man is feeling especially blessed to have her voluntarily in this position without actually having to wrestle her there.
Until her husband walks in that is; an Argentinian, of the sort to put a stiletto into you for even thinking about his wife the wrong way. So if things go to cliché our cheeky hero will now abuse his professional position to make an audacious series of sexual assaults on the willing Femi right under the neanderthal's nose. And in this case even to shouts of olé!
In the second clip Femi is receiving a house call wearing nothing but a red rose garter. Typical shenanigans ensue when her husband comes home and our man must avoid getting murdered. He being not entirely successful at this, a bonus scene takes place in the hospital with two lovely (though still suitably 'strict') nurses in and out of their crisp white uniforms.

More from the comedy about the Italian uncle suddenly lumbered with his pretty young niece. The biggest distraction from any impure thoughts about the lovely young lady is his energetic housekeeper Femi. As well as the usual household chores she provides a 24-hour rat-catching service, as we see in the first scene of this compilation. Her technique is to stick her head under the bed and call the rodent's name while her tight black satin undie-clad bottom inevitably sticks right up in the air. Our man might think this is lacking in cunning, but he's the last to knock anything that gets a result.
The second scene features Uncle's fellow airline pilot and general hanger-on. He's much more forward and better acquainted with the ways of the world (translation: a more lecherous creep), thus gets a lot further with Femi, and with hardly any interruption to her domestic duties too. Note the double standard in how niece Ursula Heinle is allowed to watch from the doorway with a superior knowing smile; that's right, it's not perving as long as it's a woman doing it.
Finally our man is persuaded that as the householder, bill-payer and employer he has a perfect right to peer through the keyhole at his hireling Femi naked getting out of the shower. And to barge in without knocking too. So does it all end happily? Well the story happens to cut off here, so our only hope of knowing is a sequel. Which frankly is not very likely.
