Anna Karina

A review and pictures of actress Anna Karina naked in "Laughter in the Dark".
Anna Karina

Born: 1940   Country: Denmark

A Danish brunette who was picked up by the more vacuous French new-wavers such as Godard when she moved to Paris. Later she was to become popular as a pretty and natural star of more mainstream fare.

For the novel, see Anna Karenina.Anna Karina (born Hanne Karin Bayer; 22 September 1940) is a Danish-French citizen, film actress, director, and screenwriter who has spent most of her working life in France. She is known as a muse of the director Jean-Luc Godard, one of the pioneers of the French New Wave. Her notable collaborations with Godard include The Little Soldier (1960), A Woman Is a Woman (1961), Vivre sa vie (1962), and Alphaville (1965). With A Woman Is a Woman, Karina won the Best Actress award at the Berlin Film Festival.   snippet from Wikipedia

Anna Karina from Laughter in the Dark

Somehow wealthy art expert Nicol Williamson becomes besotted with a an unusually high-maintenance and frankly rather dull cinema usherette played by Anna. People wonder why what are essentially slack B-movies like this become forgotten - what about all the big names ('from the novel by Vladimir Nabokov' etc.) involved?

Anna has three nude scenes in the copy I saw, but they're very tame and I wonder whether it was cut. The first, a love scene, is very tasteful, but I don't promise the bare bottom is actually Anna's, though I think it is. The second clip sees Anna as a nude model for her French painter boyfriend. He appears to be naked too - what kind of an art studio is this? Notice Anna keeps getting told off, a theme that runs through the film.

Finally Anna flounces through the villa naked once too often, and Williamsom pulls a gun on her. 'Uh-oh, looks like I'm in trouble again' she thinks. And indeed she is. Yet another bollocking.
