Reviews and pictures of actress Karine Gambier naked in "Die teuflischen Schwestern" and "Der Ruf der blonden Göttin".
With her Monroe-style curves and bottle-blonde hair, Karine was a leading light of retro soft porn glamour for a brief but very busy period during the late 'seventies.

Housewife Ada Tauler is seeing her husband's Caribbean villa for the first time, and the housekeeper, a nice woman (Muriel Montossé), is helping her settle in. There's just one little fly in the ointment though: the pinkly curvaceous Karine sprawled naked on the marital bed. 'Who?' and 'Why?' are among the questions that spring to the lips of the new mistress of the house. Likewise we the viewers at home are coming up with our own questions (slightly different though perhaps equally fatuous), such as 'Do they kiss?' and 'Will they get in the bath together?'. Well of course they kiss, and Karine has such a hectic bathtime schedule it would be utterly impossible if she didn't share once in a while. By the end of the first clip Ada could hardly be more blissfully happy.
Being a Jess Franco film this all gets a bit repetitive. The second clip has just a couple of highlights of Karine, a love scene with her new girlfriend, and later on writhing around on the bed naked with her legs splayed apart (but in such an ever-so-subtle way as to be barely noticeable the first time you walk in the room if the reaction of 'queen of the double-takes' Ada is anything to go by).

In this typically lavish and ridiculous Franco piece Karine has taken to her sickbed. Or rather her older sister has told her to take to her sickbed. It's a very nice sickbed, with gold finishings, and secured in a gold-barred cage. Karine is chained to the bed, but only with nice gold manacles so it doesn't really count. And there are pictures of kittens on the wall.
She has a very nice nurse too, as you see in the first clip. It's time for Karine's injection. There now, that didn't hurt did it? (Don't be such a baby). In the second clip the doctor visits. He takes the patient's temperature, rectally. And it's good news - perhaps she'll be well enough for a swim in the sea today.
The third clip shows the promised swim with Nurse. Being such short notice there wasn't time to buy bathing costumes. People can see their bare bottoms from the promenade, but damp sand patches blending with matted pubic hair soon gives the illusion of old-style bikini briefs anyway.
In the fourth and final clip Karine, now pronounced cured (convalescence can be such a drag), rises naked from her bed. Once she was forbidden clothes, but now she can dress in the morning just like any other young woman. Pulling on stockings, heels, and string of beads she wanders into the lounge only to find - shock! horror! plot development! etc.
