Adriana Altaras (born 1960 in Zagreb) is a Croatia born German actress, theater director and writer. Altaras was born on 6 April 1960 in Zagreb to a Croatian Jewish family of Jakob and Thea Altaras. Due to political persecution she escaped Zagreb, with her mother, in 1964. They were smuggled from Zagreb to Italy, in a car, by her Italian uncle. She stayed with her mother in Italy for a few years, enough that she learns Italian. From Italy she moved to Konstanz, Germany in 1967. After high school education, Altaras graduated from the Berlin University of the Arts. Altaras completed her academic studies in New York City. She founded the Western Stadthirschen theater in Berlin where she works as an actress, director and writer. In the early 1980s she made the movie debut, but the focus of her work remained with the various theater projects. She worked as a theater director at the Berliner Ensemble and Neuköllner Oper in Berlin. In 1998 she received the Deutscher Filmpreis Award. In addition to the theater and film work, she worked with Steven Spielberg's Shoah Foundation as an interviewer and lecturer. A thoughtful German drama wherein a trio of goofily attractive thirtysomethings entrap a lonely bookish young man and share him between them sexually with perfect fairness. Totally unrealistic of course, and a transparent wish-fulfillment fantasy. Dreamt up by a bunch of old maids. An intelligent chap like this wouldn't waste so much as a word or a glance on these over-needy airheads. And besides, when your schedule involves lying in bed until noon picking the dried spunk stains off your leg you simply don't have the time.

Nevertheless, let's take a look. Adriana is the first of the three girls to be introduced. She already has a boyfriend, a very tame one, who is currently calling her to breakfast. Notice she is forced to shower behind the sort of wire-mesh reinforced glass used to stop cricket balls being batted through it. Suspicions that she must be 'Splash Hell' personified are quickly confirmed.

In the second clip she has taken water splashing to a whole new level - total aquatic immersion! Our philosopher hero Georg has been suckered into a boat trip just so she can pull off this stunt. She might think it's funny, but his life was even in danger at one point. Peeling off her wringing wet clothes she taunts the serious-minded academic with hoary old chestnuts like 'If a man takes off all his clothes in the woods, and nobody sees, does he still commit indecent exposure?'. And while he's trying to get the fire going as well.

By the third clip things have taken a marked turn for the better. The other two babes are bringing the couple breakfast in bed, and Adriana isn't acting all that attention-seeking and needy. She's even a little modest in fact. And when she takes a bath with Georg the transformation that association with a deep thinker has wrought is remarkable. Though she might seem she's giving him a ducking from the screenshots, she's just gently rinsing his hair, and not a single drop of water goes on the floor.
