Black Emanuelle Laura Gemser turns reporter for a busman's holiday in the Far East. There are plenty of tourist traps to take in, plenty of things to point at all slack-jawed and vacant. Actually Laura has too much natural dignity and grace to do that. Instead she lounges in opium dens and watches tacky nightclub acts looking vaguely uncomfortable and out of place. There's an odd sense of loneliness about this film, despite the countless individuals of both sexes Laura manages to initiate physical congress with. She even 'does' the hotel porter, which seemed not so much amorous as desperate, a cry for help.

In this clip Laura visits some sort of high class health spa/bathhouse/beauty parlour type place, and her hostess/masseuse/whatever is the charming Koike. I think I like this slightly goofy-eyed girl; she's a sort of a cheery non-masochistic version of Misaki Tanaka. With a disarmingly simple line in smalltalk and grotesque over-flattery: 'You know I really had no idea that - you were so nice!'.

So Laura strips off for her bubble-bath then lies on the couch ready for her massage. Now here comes a surprise development - Koike undresses and soaps herself up as well! It turns out she's going to use her whole naked body as a giant kind of loofah. Excellent. Actually I remember seeing something like this before so it's probably some standard kind of thing you could ask for if only you knew what it was called.
