Tales of the Dustbin Kid is a tasteless collection of satirical sketches featuring the anarchic and even intermittently amusing misadventures of the eponymous character, a revenant from discarded afterbirth in a Berlin backyard. It showcases the much-misunderstood German sense of humour, typified by gutter cinema of the age such as Dorothea's Rache. The director went on to make the legendary Heimat TV serials, at least if the IMDb is to believed anyway.
So Kristine is snatched while dancing merrily around the wheelie bins by a prim interfering social worker type who immediately farms her out to a traditionally stern but nevertheless doting grandmother. Cue cold showers and spankings. The first clip is a collection of highlights, ending in a sapphic sequence with one of those 'ladies who shop' types which seems to have been inspired by a Jess Franco film.
The second clip is a complete episode, and it's a real eye-opener. Who would have guessed you could have so much fun just skipping through a wheatfield, simply by the expedient of removing your underwear? I've a feeling it only works for lasses though. And don't tell the farmer. (Still less the farmer's wife.)
There's more innocent outdoor fun in the third clip, another complete episode. Kristine organises an undressing game with some icons of nineteenth century bourgeois society. She ends up with her skirt around her waist getting chased down the middle of the road in a blend of Benny Hill and Night of the Living Dead.
