Barbara Ewing

Reviews and pictures of actress Barbara Ewing naked in "The Ash Tree" and "Country Matters S02E01: The Little Farm".
Barbara Ewing

Born: 1944   Country: New Zealand

Originally from New Zealand, Barbara has long been a familiar face on British TV. She is most at home in period drama, being fondly remembered as the heaving-busted working class matriarch in Brass.

Barbara Ewing (born 1944) is a UK-based actress, playwright and novelist. Born in New Zealand, she graduated from Victoria University of Wellington with a BA in English and Maori before coming to Britain in 1965 to train as an actress at RADA (the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art) in London. She made her film debut in the horror film Torture Garden (1967) for Amicus Productions, followed by Dracula Has Risen from the Grave (1968) with Christopher Lee for Hammer Films. Both movies were directed by Freddie Francis. The television role for which she is best remembered is that of Bradley Hardacre's mistress Agnes Fairchild in the Granada Television comedy series Brass, alongside Timothy West (1982–84). In 1986, she played Treen Dudgeon in the short-lived BBC series Comrade Dad, alongside George Cole and Doris Hare. Her 1989 one-woman show, Alexandra Kollontai, about the only woman in Lenin's cabinet in 1917 was a great hit in London, and at the Edinburgh and Sydney Festivals. More recent TV appearances have included episodes of Casualty, Doctors and Holby City on the BBC, and The Bill and Peak Practice on ITV, as well as appearances in various adaptations of Ruth Rendell mysteries.   snippet from Wikipedia

with Michael Elphick, Diane Keen and Bryan Marshall

Barbara Ewing from Country Matters S02E01 The Little Farm

Another in the earthy collection of dysfunctional love stories (cf. The Mill) made for British TV in the early 'seventies. Farmer Bryan Marshall (Jenny Agutter's foster brother in I Start Counting) is a simple man who somehow persuades attractive mail-order housekeeper Barbara to take charge of his squalid little farmhouse. There are some pretty hardcore housework scenes as this firm-jawed treasure with the beaming smile scrubs the kitchen so clean you could actually cook your breakfast in it. Compelling stuff, but time is pressing and we must move on.

The arrangement was for a housekeeper not a wife, and Barbara finds the nights can be cold and lonely in the countryside. The farmer is a shy as well as a simple man and not the sort to impose himself on anyone, but slowly and surely he gets the message...

Barbara Ewing from The Ash Tree

This is from an unusually gritty BBC adaptation of a famous M.R. James ghost story. Barbara is playing old Mistress Mothersole in a witch torture scene. Witch torture! That good old-fashioned bloodsport of the landed gentry. And there's never any possibility of comeback because you always hang them afterwards.
